Brad Barez and I have remained close since graduation and is one of only a handful of fellow Marauders that I regularly keep up with. As a matter of fact, he was a groomsman in my wedding and the only person representing my high school days. Over the years, we have been mildly discussing our 20-yr. and how fun it’ll be to see everyone again. Well, we’re now counting the months and although it really is a long time out, time will fly by. Before we know it, you’ll be reflecting the past and sharing your present life with an old friend over a cocktail, on the golf course or where ever in August of 2008. I want to emphasize to you that this is not the Mark and Brad show. This is your reunion and the only 20 year high school reunion you’ll ever have. We want this to be a great success and as a result, we’re putting a lot of time and effort to make it such. Plus, you owe it to your classmates to be there. Where ever you’re at in life, your fellow Miradors want to reconnect, relive the past or just say hello. You may be exactly where you want to be in life. Or life hasn’t been all that good and for whatever reason, you’ve struggled more than most. We all have struggled and although some have labored more than others, this is a time to reconnect and have fun, not reprove or judge. That may have taken place in high school, but not here, not now and not ever. You may be married, single, divorced, alternative lifestyle, whatever. We all grew up together, whether we started out in Rancho Vista Elementary or Miraleste Elementary through Dapplegray and onto MHS, we all experienced what we thought was “life” in the same environment. Please, be there for the reunion…you’ll be welcomed …regardless please, go. I’m happy to be a part of this and hope you’ll come to understand why we’re putting so much effort into what I expect will be a very, very worthwhile event. Mark Freeman |
